KIVENLAHTI ROCK

Kivenlahti Rock is a middle sized rock festival in Kivenlahti, Espoo. Kivenlahti is located 20 km from the centre of Helsinki, the capital of Finland, and 35 km from Helsinki-Vantaa airport. Kivenlahti Rock 2008 takes place on 6-7 June. The festival area is situated on a beach with a beautiful view to the Baltic Sea.

RULES AND GENERAL INFO

For a rapidly growing event as Kivenlahti Rock it is essential to create a secure and a safe environment for all. We hope to see thousands of you music enthusiasts next summer and to be sure it’s all safe, we kindly ask you to follow some simple rules. We hope we can all enjoy the unique feeling of this festival. Thank you for your co-operation.

Security check
All dangerous objects, like guns and knifes, are forbidden in the festival area. Glass bottles and cans are also prohibited. Small plastic bottles are allowed. All festival guests will be security checked before entering to area. You can use luggage deposit (fee 2 € per visit) for you extra goods.

No umbrellas
Umbrellas block the view to the stage. Please take a raincoat with you instead.

No alcohol
Alcohol and narcotics are forbidden. If you’re carrying alcohol, please leave it at the security check. They have a baggage room for your extra baggage. There will be €2 fee per visit.

No professional equipment for recording or photographing
Taking photos is allowed in the festival area, but audio and video recording equipment is strictly forbidden. Professional equipment for photographing or equipment for recording audio or video is forbidden without a license.

No open fire
Open fire is absolutely forbidden.

Take care of your friends and follow instructions
Taking care of your friends is just polite and this way we all enjoy the festival. Security staff is wearing a yellow vest.

Catering
There are many stalls in the festival area selling food and drinks. Alcohol is sold in designated service areas. Age limit for these areas is 18 years.

Money
You can pay with cash, Finnish bank cards, Visa, Visa Electron and MasterCard. Please notice, that some booth keepers may accept only cash.

In case of a emergency
You will find the first-aid assistance at the main entrance. There are also first-aid people patrolling around the area. You can recognize first-aid staff from the Red Cross sign.

Age limits
The minimum age for attending the festival without adult supervision is 12 years. If you are under 12 years old, you must be accompanied by an adult (over 18 years of age) whom you know. Children under 7 years of age have free admittance.

Pets
Taking your pet to Kivenlahti Rock isn’t recommended. Guide dogs are allowed. Other pets must be approved by security.

You can easily buy tickets to Kivenlahti Rock online through Lippupalvelu and Tiketti. Both online ticket stores are available in English and they deliver tickets to abroad.

Advance tickets will be available on week 10.

1-day ticket € 28.00 (Friday or Saturday)

HOW TO GET THERE?

You can easily get to Kivenlahti by bus from Helsinki or Espoo. From Helsinki take bus 147, 150, 165 or 504. From Espoo you can get to Kivenlahti by taking bus 3, 4, 12, 14, 42 or 43.

If you choose to come with a taxi the address is Marinsatamantie 1, Espoo. It's not a good idea to come with your own car. There isn't much parking space nearby.

HOW TO GET OUT?

On both evenings there is bus transportation to Espoo (Tapiola) and Helsinki (centre) approx. 30 minutes after the music stops (around 22.30). There is also a taxi stand right outside the festival area.
